Today turned into an impromptu snow day although I certainly tried my best to get to work! I have snow tyres which gives me the confidence to actually attempt it - I usually travel over the Cat and Fiddle Road but this was closed so next I try going via Whaley Bridge. The road over was pretty treacherous but ok taken slow, only to then be faced by a tanker which was stuck blocking the road I needed. The final attempt was through to Hazel Grove but every man and his dog were going this way and we just weren't moving. After 1 hour 30 I turned around and came home.
It actually turned out quite well as Nana and Grandad arrived at lunch time and Noah got to build his snowman (snow cat)
Although I think Jake was so over the snow. He got quite fed up when we took a walk to Sainsburys so I ended up having to carry him home.
