Batman and Spiderman

We've had the Spiderman outfit for some time now, but upon completion of a row of good behaviour stickers, I treated Noah to Batman

Just in time for Jake to fit into the Spiderman outfit!

Chestnut Conservation and Wildlife Park

This place is in Chapel en the Frith and Jake and I had lots of fun! He enjoyed finding the owls in the enclosures and pointing at the otters but the best bit was running down the paths and exploring over the bridges.

It started of sunny, but then rained - it didn't damped our spirits though, if anything Jake thought it was great!

We'll have to come back again with the other two boys. It was a really nice morning out - he even started to say "owl".

Sunday morning with Jake

I took him swimming again and he couldn't stop chuckling! He really was in his element.

We walked back home through the gardens and found the heron sunning himself.

We also had to check the train was all in order.

It was lovely spending some mother - son time with Jake as I very rarely get an opportunity to have them alone.

Chinese by the canal

Today Noah went to Devon to spend the week with Nana and Grandad (which he was very excited about!) This evening we took a walk down the canal at Whaley Bridge to enjoy sunshine and for Adam to stretch out after his long car journey!

We came across these really cute canal side cottages.

It was practically tea time by the time we got back to the car so we went and got a chinese and enjoyed it by the canal.

We miss you Noah!

Monsal Dale

Sunday morning walk around Monsal Dale. We were trying to get to the Monsal Trial which was on top of the viaduct, although we managed to walk under it and above it!

We did however stumble upon this beautiful weir.

Buxton carnival day...

...is an annual event and this year was the 175th one! Noah had a go on the trampoline...

..we watched a warm up act in the bandstand while we were eating our BBQ hot dogs and burgers..

..and the boys found it really entertaining.

Noah had an 8 minute session on a huge inflatable slide. Jake was too young unfortunately.

We joined the crowds for the parade.

We had ice cream!

Jake fell asleep...

We then watched the parade where there were loads of trucks!

..that woke Jake up. He really enjoyed it... once he had adjusted!

My arm was going dead so Adam became super Dad.

Next up was the fair ground rides, Noah went in a fire engine..

..and Jake was put in a car. It was his first time so we were unsure how he was going to react but he loved it!

We also bought a ticket for the duck race. I have no idea what place our duck came, we just know it wasn't first!

We came home around 4:45 but stayed out in our garden and could hear the live music while we were planting the plants we had bought from the Artisan Market which was being held down there.

Plus the weather was awesome.
