We did some baking...

Noah really enjoy's helping out - especially when it comes to baking and most of the time (90%) he tends to do as asked. This was an excellent example:

Although he was constantly asking me when can he lick out the bowl..

He was a great helper, had his listening ears on for most of it and the brownies turned out awesome!

Castleton and Peak Cavern (Devil's Arse)

We spent the afternoon in Castleton today in the hope we could find a good trial for the boys to ride their bikes down. There wasn't many of those but there were lots of cute village walks - they didn't seem to mind either way.

Whilst exploring we stumbled across Peak Cavern which is also known as Devil's Arse (I'm still failing to see the reference) and decided to have a wander. The boys haven't really been in a cave before so thought it would be an interesting experience for them.

They hold concerts in the opening of the cave.

It was pretty dark but lit up by the odd light and there were a few areas you had to crouch down to get through - the boy's thought it was awesome!

Afterwards we stopped of at Heaven's Bakes cafe and had well earned cakes and hot chocolate.

The boys were as good as gold in there.

It snowed!

It only feels like yesterday this whole snow thing was here!

Noah loved it, he kept wanting us to pull him faster on the sledge..

Jake had fun but quite soon the snow had soaked his gloves so he had cold hands and was quite fed up after that,

Noah was on a mission to find the highest, bumpiest hill to go down and this one was by far the best...Well it didn't have a pond at the bottom of it, so I certainly think it was the best!

Here are two snowmen we had no involvement in making.

First bike ride of the year!

...and it was very wet and very muddy!

The highlight however was the freight train passing over the viaduct.

Roll on the summer is all I can say.

Exploring Bakewell

We have now set a date for our mini wedding and so today we went and explored Bakewell for potential photograph backdrops.

It was a very productive outing!
