Bonfire Night

Our bonfire night was actually on Halloween (which we didn't do this year). The bonfire and fireworks was held at the cricket club in Buxton and was the first one we have taken the boys to. There was food, drink and rides for the kids.

No bonfire is complete without a hotdog!

Noah didn't think too much of the actual bonfire and the fireworks didn't keep his interest for long. Thankfully there were a couple of boys, maybe around 10 years old, who some bubbles - they seemed to entertain him for much longer!

Jake on the other hand really enjoyed them and quite happily watched the entire show.

Tatton Park with Nan

Mum took the afternoon off work so we took the boys to Tatton Park. We started with the farm and Jake really enjoyed making the sounds of the animals. I feel the highlight was the pig and her 7 babies who were only one week old.

Jake made friends with this sheep.

We then went over to the woodland play area where there is an obstacle course and areas to build tipi's.

We watched the Reindeer below as he was brought in for his tea. Noah thought he looked like Sven from Frozen.

Afterwards we headed to the tea room for cakes which was then followed by a ride on the vintage car merry go round.

Blackpool

A cold, cloudy and miserable afternoon in October? Must only mean one thing! Blackpool time..

Last year we decided to go over to Blackpool every year to see the lights and even with just a difference of 12 months the boys were so different to how they were last year! They were both entertained the entire time. We went to a casino, ate some fudge, walked along the pier and the beach, Adam and the boys went on the ferris wheel (I was looking after the pram..), we ate chips, we ate hotdogs, we drank hot chocolate and we took lots of photos and had a great time!

Flora Garden Centre

I know, I know it's only October.. but I love Christmas! As expected, Flora was full to the brim of Christmas cheer so Mum and I took the boys along to get into the festive spirit.

We then headed over to Mum's house to walk Luke. Being completely honest, I'm not feeling Christmas yet, I'm still in my engagement bubble and don't particularly want to come out just yet!

Tittesworth Reservoir

This was the first time I had ventured out on my own with both of them on bikes and it went surprisingly well. Noah was awesome. He listened to me, he didn't ride off too far, he kept looking behind to make sure he could see me whereas Jake was just slow, veerryy slow.

After the bike ride we went across to the play area and had the place to ourselves!

We then hopped back onto the bikes and headed down to see (what was left of) the reservoir.. and had snacks (do they ever stop eating?!)
