Meeting your big brother Noah...

Coming home from hospital the next day we went straight to Nana Jude's to collect Noah. We put you down on the floor in your car seat and let Noah come in and introduce himself! These photos are the very first time you met each other.

Welcome to the world Jake!

This morning at 10am I went into the clinic for a membrane sweep. Around 1ish I was waiting for the car in selecta tyre waiting room when I felt the first twinges but knew I still had a way to go. It was around tea time when it started to get quite intense (so much so I couldn't eat my chinese!) and we asked Nana Jude if she could collect Noah from nursery. We made it to around 7pm before we went to the hospital and were admitted right away as I was 5cms. The rest all happened fairly quickly! I was only on gas and air but that wasn't really helping me so I went into the pool. In there the pain was getting pretty intense so I was asked to get out so she could examine me to see what she could give me. When I stood up and got out of the pool my waters broke and I needed to push! (I don't think the midwife quite believed me..) I got to the bed and in 3 pushes and 3 minutes you were born at 22:12 on Tuesday 14th May 2013, weighing 8Ib 1oz.

We stayed that night and came home the following morning after your newborn checks.

Fun in the sun...

It was an incredibly warm week and although it was sunny I was fed up as I was huge and uncomfortable. Noah however was in his element when we went to my mums to play on the slide.

My due date is 4 days away!
