The Trafford Centre - Potty Training...

As Noah wants to walk everywhere now, I decided to take him to the Trafford Centre and to just let him go. It was also quite a big test as it was the first proper outing for Noah in his big-boy pants.

He did remarkably well, he asked me twice to go to the toilet and we had no accidents. We started the potty training business on Tuesday 20th May and we have cracked it a week later. I've been so proud of him, he's taken to it really well. We still have night times to crack but even on a couple of mornings he has woken dry, but I think that's just coincidence.

Too much to ask?

All I wanted was a photo of them together looking at the camera and looking happy...

But I had to make do with Luke instead

Who certainly has the whole pose thing going on :))

Love all these boys xxx

Walk in the forest...

While Seth was up we went on a hike around Macclesfield Forest. Considering how long we were out, Noah did really well albeit most of the time he was on Grandad's shoulders! Jake was happy as Larry in the pram.

Oh and it rained.

Noah also had hold of Grandads camera again so I'm going to do another post with some of the photos he took. It's pretty cool seeing the world from his perspective.

Afternoon with Mr Lewis

My friend Becca and I tend to have our catch-ups at John Lewis now we have a loyalty card which gives us a free hot drink and cake once a month!

Noah had a massive paddy once we left the cafe because he wanted to push the pram, but the problem is he can't see over it to see where he's going and ends up getting in other peoples way. So because he was making a scene a lady who worked there came over and offered him a pull along basket - this didn't even cross my mind! He was quite happy with that until we got to the toy section where I wouldn't buy him anything and he once again had another paddy, laying down on the floor face down making yet another scene.

But a free hot drink and cake make it all worthwhile!

Jake's Birthday Party round 2

As the party would have been too much for Gran, we went round to see her on the Sunday after and took some cakes.

This cool thing was parked opposite:

We got out a box of matchstick cars that I used to play with many years ago and well Noah was in his element.

Jake is almost too heavy for Gran to cuddle now but we were lucky enough to grab a couple of snaps of them together. It was a really nice afternoon - even though her conservatory was like an oven!

Jake's 1st Birthday Party

We had it on Saturday 17th May and it was a scorcher!

Jake was actually asleep for most of it, but I still insisted we sang Happy Birthday!

Grandad Seth gave Noah his camera so I'm going to do a separate post of how the party was through Noah's eyes!

Happy 1st Birthday Jake xxxxxxx

Umbrella Walk...

As usual I was determined to get them out of the house whether it be sunshine or rain.

It started off lovely, Noah was walking with us nicely with his umbrella...

Then he decided he wanted to swap umbrellas, which was fine...

Until he completely refused to hold any of them and got drenched!

But hey, at least they were out of the house!

Our trip to Notting Hill...

I'm subscribed to Livingetc interiors magazine and once a year they do an 'open house' tour in Notting Hill where you get to wander around houses which have been featured in the magazine - right up my street... Although unfortunately we weren't allowed to take photos inside the houses I did get a few from our walkabouts.

Along with the house viewings, they put on a design talk at the Electric Cinema on Portobello Road which in itself was pretty cool with comfy armchairs as the seats! We took a walk through the market on Portobello Road as well and bought a rustic wooden sports car with '29' on it (Noah's birthday) as a souvenir and a couple of Banksy prints.

Same again next year eh Adam?
