Easter walk - Goyt Valley

Chocolate for breakfast? Well that only means one thing! Let's go on a nice long walk to walk it off...

This place is only 15 minutes away from us and it felt like we were on holiday. The boys (all 3 of them) loved following the stream along the path and getting far too close to it (for my liking).

We then wandered over Errwood Hall ruins and established it would be a wonderful place for a picnic in the summer.

Then up a large grassy hill where the wind really picked up. Thunderstorms had been promised today... We stopped for snacks and decided to turn back as it had gone rather dark.

We made it back to the car and was greeted by beaming sunshine! Doh.

Easter Egg Hunt!

These really aren't the best photos as it was tricky getting the boys to stay still!

The Easter bunny had hidden the eggs in pairs which worked very well in sharing them out. Noah was obviously the main ring leader and was very good at finding them and I thought it was really sweet how he ensured Jake got his eggs too.

Easter crafts revealed

It wasn't plain sailing.. but the finished results are very pleasing.

The two jars of goodies are from my friend Philippa...

..and the cards were made at nursery,

An Easter treat

There was a brief break in the weather today so we took the boys out to stretch their legs and for a special treat with it being Easter weekend!

On the way home we stopped at Star's Cafe and the boys were treated to chocolate fudge cake and chocolate milkshake! You know just in case they don't get enough chocolate tomorrow...

They were both really good actually and quite happily sat at the table and waited for the goodies.

Potting training round 2

Noah is only 4 but why is it I can barely remember this chapter?! I don't recall it being particularly difficult plus he was younger than Jake. I seemed to remember stripping his bottom half and having a potty out and Noah just seemed to know that's what he had to do! I tried the same tactic with Jake...

...and lets just say it's still work in progress!

Good Friday

Although it was a chilly day, the sun was out and that was enough for me! The boys were playing in our new dig pit with their dumper trucks and diggers and afterwards Noah helped me to fill up my pots and the flower beds with compost.

After hot cross buns we went for a walk and fed the ducks.

Then went across to Serpentine Park (where is was a lot quieter) and went daffodil spotting.

The forecast is not looking too good for the weekend but at least we managed to get out today.

Off to the park

I decided it had been a while since we had been to the park on bikes so that was exactly what we did today!

Even though it looks like he is picking this daffodil, he was actually trying to smell it.

Near enough the whole time we were at this park Jake played in this car thing.
