5 months old...

I can't quite believe you are 5 months old, it has gone incredibly quick! You:

Can roll over completely unaided and confidently lift your head and chest
Make a lot of noise!
Can sit up unaided for a short time

Still won't go to bed any earlier than 11pm

Grab everything in sight
Put everything in your mouth
Smile and chuckle all the time

Have 2 bottom teeth

Seem to enjoy music as it always stops you from whining
Can stand up with some help

Are dribbling excessively

Can entertain yourself for a short amount of time

Are the best thing that has ever happened to me

Visiting Mick & Jan...

After we had spent the morning with Sue and Steve, we went on to see Mick and Jan who are your Great Grandparents. Here's you with your Daddy, Granddad and Great Granddad.

They had bought you a couple of new toys, one of the teething variety and the other for bath time. We stayed for tea and headed home shortly after so we didn't interfere with your bed time.

Visiting Sue & Steve...

Today we went across to Mansfield to see Sue and Steve - your great great Aunty and Uncle.  Sue had quilted a lovely play mat for you and had baked for me, Daddy, Nanny and Granddad.

Before lunch we went down to see the sheep, complete with lambs.  We met one that was just 24 hours old.  We all got to hold a lamb and I got a little attached and named her Daisy (she had two tags so she will be a Yew next term).

We can maybe go and see her again next year.

I've made a start on your photo album, but have already run out of printed photographs so I'm going to have to go back online and get some more printed.

It'll be nice for you to look back at this when you're older.

In the big bath...

It was starting to get a little cramped in the baby bath as you didn't have the space to kick your legs. So we decided to bite the bullet and put you in the big bath.

...although you were more interested in the rubber duck!

As you appear to be fast out growing your all in one sleep suits, I decided to opt for ones with no feet!

Trip to Buxton...

Yesterday you, me, Phil and Mum went to Buxton for the day.

We stopped at a cafe for lunch and you were on your best behaviour even if you were after mum's chocolate cake!

Me and Phil shared this Cookie Sundae (or Cookie Thursday as the waiter called it -.-)...

Welcome Harrie!

Congratulations to Kelly and Scott! Today we found out my cousin Kelly gave birth to a beautiful baby girl called Harrie Sophia, 6Ibs. She's your... second cousin I think.

We'll have to go and meet her soon.

Second tooth breaking through...

This evening I spotted tooth number 2 starting to poke through. You'll have a full set of gnashes in no time! It's the second bottom tooth on the left.

Sensory Room...

Today we took you both to a new sensory room. It was a lot smaller but had everything we needed! Unfortunately, you weren't a happy bunny and cried practically the whole time we were there.

Your 3rd vaccinations...

Yesterday you had your third lot of vaccinations. You were as good as gold while we were there, just cried initially and I don't blame you. You had two in one go and then one last one to top you off! That evening your temperature rose to 38 degrees and you woke in the night. Thankfully that's it now until 13 months.

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee...

Today the Queen celebrates her 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne. 

The above emblem was designed by a 10 year old who entered a Blue Peter competition to design the official emblem to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. Katherine Dewar from Chester was chosen from 35,000 entrants from across the UK.

Prestige Plastering...

What has this got to do with you I hear you ask...

The plasterers came on Thursday to skim over the inner landing and it was this time a year a go I told Chris I was pregnant. He was the first person I told other than your Dad (obviously) and I was only a mere 6ish weeks gone!

...and this time he got to meet you for the first time!

Holding your head up

Yesterday for the first time you rolled over, pulled your arm out from under you and lifted your head and chest up! You were so pleased with yourself you blew a raspberry.
