Tramway Village

This place was awesome! A cute little village with a working tram rail running all the way through. We started with afternoon tea at the tearoom and then had a few rides on the tram and stopped off at the woodland walk which was a lovely walk with wooden statues and a play area.

The idea of going on a ferris wheel did not phase me in the slightest, however the reality was awful! Now I'm 29 I apparently cannot handle such terrifying experiences.. Noah loved it.

Gran's 90th Birthday

I can't quite believe Gran is 90! To celebrate the occasion, Auntie Kate and the kids were over. The boys had loads of fun with them in the garden. It's the first time the boys have been old enough to play with them!

During their time over here they came up to Buxton for a wander and a nosy at our house and I also had a trip with Kate and Steph to the Trafford Centre.

Fun day

All week down at the gardens has been an event with rides for kids, so we thought we'd go and see what it was all about.

It was great!

Chester for my birthday...

As Adam was away on the charity cycle up to my birthday and then at work for the actual day, we both took the Wednesday as a holiday and went to Chester while the boys were in nursery.

The weather was incredible so we ate our lunch outside and took a walk all around the wall afterwards.

It's such a beautiful city. After the walk we had a wander around the shops .

Please take me back.

Back garden camping...

This Sunday Adam is away supporting some guys from work on their charity bike ride, so we spent the day with mum and Phil. We went to The Carrs in Wilmslow for a wander, play and ice cream...

..and once we were back at mums the tent was up which provided endless entertainment! Even Luke was getting involved.

Rach's Hen Do

My friend Rach is getting married in September so naturally a hen do was required! We started the afternoon at Aston Marina in Stone for afternoon tea which was delicious..

Then we moved on to Moddershall Spa in Stone. We were greeted with champagne (or Elderflower for those of us driving!) and a pre-ordered nibbles before we hit the spa.

After our relaxation (for approx 4 hours!) we headed over to the restaurant for tea which I couldn't enjoy as I developed a head ache after my back massage. But I would definitely do it again!

Tuesday 4 August 2015

A typical Tuesday...

Morning spent playing with Playdoh, straight after breakfast of course so pyjamas are still present..

Followed by an afternoon at the park (given the weather is dry!)

Working part time is awesome!

The sports field

I recently stumbled upon this field which looks like it's used for various sports. With this in mind, we brought the football, for what I thought would be a relaxing "hands free" parenting afternoon.

Turns out we need two footballs. As soon as Jake grabbed the ball he refused to let go of it which caused tears on both sides.

As a distraction, I noticed a path going up the hill. Noah was all for it, but Jake was still refusing to let go of the ball which was making it quite tricky for him to walk, let alone up a gradient!

We didn't follow it up all the way as I think it leads to Solomon's Temple and by this point Jake appeared to have lost the use of his legs so I was having to carry him whilst I was mountain climbing. He then went into complete meltdown which was making it incredibly difficult to hold him so we made a brisk decision to go back down where he could continue his meltdown on the grass not on a rocky path half way up a hill.

Lessons to be learnt!
