Dove Dale - Stepping Stones and Thorpe Cloud

This was the first proper hill hike the boys have done and they both made it to the top. The views were worth the effort! We walked down the hill again and across the stepping stones of which I whacked my shin against the side of one.. ouch! We walk along the path through Dove Dale and stopped for a snack. On our way back to the car it was starting to get really busy - certainly one to be avoided at peak times!

Circus Time!

This turned out to be a huge success. I bought the tickets on a whim from Groupon. The circus was in Middleton and I wasn't too sure what to expect however all of us thoroughly enjoyed the show! Even some of the stuff took my breath away. The boys found the motorbikes in the big ball awesome and were amazed fascinated watching the dancing and tricks. Awesome afternoon, certainly the first circus of many!

Baslow Edge

What a fabulous Saturday morning! We explored Baslow Edge which was another walk from our
book. Perfect for the boys who just love to be running ahead eager to find the next landmark. My happy place with the family x x x x

Easter Hols: Lyme Park

The highlight of this trip was watching the boys work together in the woods to try and build a bridge over the mini canyon. They were just adorable I was bursting with pride for both of them. We were here for such a long time, the sun kept peeking out from behind the clouds every now and then. This afternoon summed up what having little boys was all about: dirt, giggles, outdoors, woods, freedom.

Easter Hols: Feeding lambs at Sue and Steves

It's that time of year again where we head over to Mansfield to coo at the lambs! This year was very special as the boys had the opportunity to feed one of the lambs, Ginny. She had been one of three lambs but her mother didn't have the capacity to look after three. Sue and Steve had attempted to have Ginny fostered by another sheep but it didn't work out. Ginny's own mother then rejected her so they were hand rearing her and she was just adorable. She was following us around the fields as we were walking through. We met up with Beth, Eve and Jan as Grandad Mick sadly passed away recently. We had a nice walk around Vicars Water with them and played near a big hand.
