Little tree decorating

The boys did such a super job on the christmas trees for their bedrooms! Noah wanted some lovely blue baubles whilst Jake decorated his tree very intricately - the trees look amazing and are now used as nightlights.

First of the snow

It was very novel being able to throw the boys out the back instead of us all having to wrap up and venture out. I wonder how much more of this white stuff we're going to see this winter?!

Blue Lagoon Walk

Seth took us here and we were blown away! It's a disused quarry with a very high Ph level turning the water a beautiful shade of blue. The place looked like it was very popular with bikes as there were numerous tracks up and over the hills. This place was fabulous and the boys thought it was pretty cool too!

Skate Park

It had been a while since I had taken the boys to a skate park. I was however blown away with just how confident Noah was on the ramps! Jake was more than happy tootling around going through puddles, but Noah kept creeping higher and higher up the ramps and his balance was incredible!

Ben Bear is back for a visit!

In reception the children are given Ben Bear and a diary to complete. I remember when he came home with Noah we went on a walk up to White Nancy and had lunch outside at a pub with photos and everything! This year there wasn't a single photo in the diary and the entries were along the lines of 'so and so lives with their mummy, daddy etc and we had fish and chips for tea' :/ Ben Bears adventure with us was a little more exciting, we took him to Tom and Leela's trampolining party at Fun4all.

Bonfire Night 2017

After the disaster of last years bonfire I was a little reluctant to do anything this year. As a middle ground we decided to let off some fireworks in the back garden - along with number 19. Between us we had quite a good show! Noah was totally up for it this year, he had his hotdog beforehand and sat in the front row seats in the garden with his ear defenders. Jake, however, happily had his hotdog but was absolutely terrified when Adam took him outside to watch. I couldn't persuade him at all to watch even from the inside, so he spent most of the evening in the front room with the telly on!

I guess there is always next year!

Halloween... recovered!

Halloween was yesterday and I was at Phil's graduation and majorly in the dog house with the boys as they were really upset we didn't take them trick or treating. On my 30 minute lunch break on 01/11/17 I ran over to Sainsburys and all the Halloween costumes were less than half price!! I bought us all one. When we got home, Adam was hiding with the sweets and we turned the lights off and the boys went hunting around in the dark finding him. It was terrifying! However I recall Noah saying 'This is the best Halloween ever!' RESULT.
