Phil's Birthday

Uncle Phil is currently at Uni in Chester and it's his 19th birthday in two days so the (little) boys and I decided to go and pay him a visit and to take him out for a birthday meal. Plus Chester is all Christmassy, but that was just a pure coincidence..

Unfortunately this was the only photo I took of Noah and he wasn't looking at the camera! We had pizza for lunch.

We had a good wander around Chester and did a spot of shopping before we stopped off for lunch. Afterwards we went back to Phil's room where the boys jumped on his bed but didn't stay much longer because Phil had no tea bags (mental note).

Solomon's Temple

Now we are Buxton residents it would be rude to not check out the local attractions. This particular one can be seen from most areas of Buxton as it stands proud on a hill. So with a pushchair and a three year old who wants to only walk 4 steps and go home we decided to trek up what felt like Kilamanjaro to get to it.

We made it! Noah thought it was actually pretty cool and loved running around it. Inside there's some steps which take you to the top which gives you a better camera angle for the views although typically we chose a misty day. There's another check box ticked off!

(Solomon's Temple, also known as Grinlow Tower, is a Victorian Fortified hill marker near the spa town of Buxton in the Derbyshire Peak District.)

Trip to the farm

It was a cold and wet day so we thought it would be a great idea to take the boys to a farm! To be fair, it wasn't quite as miserable as I had anticipated... and the boys loved feeding the sheep and goats.

Here they are looking out for the shetland ponies.

This guy was awesome, he had one blue eye and one brown eye.

Starting to feel festive...

As it's November it's obviously the right time of year to feel festive so what better way to scratch that itch than to take a trip to Brookside Garden centre to see the singing Santa's.

After a browse around the garden centre we went outside in the play area which was rather chilly (we were also the only people there - the only people or mad enough to go to the play area when it's so cold)

First Day at Pre-School

Argh! Really? Already?! This was my attempt of a 'nice first day of Pre-School' picture of him. I like to think he didn't understand what I meant, but I believe he did but was just humouring me.

The next front door picture of Noah will be the first day of school! Well, in September 2016 so I won't get the tissues out just yet.

Bonfire Night

It turns out that Noah hates fireworks, I mean HATES. I wasn't planning on going to a bonfire with them yet (I'm not that insane) but I did like the idea of having sparklers in the back garden while watching the fireworks.

This however, was the reality:

This was Noah's sparkler, he wouldn't even hold it! May be next year eh?

Blackpool

We are all for starting family traditions and Adam and I agreed this would be a great run up to Christmas tradition to begin.

The boy's lasted really well considering. We had a great wander round and treated ourselves to a hot chocolate (more so to keep warm!) xxx
