This trip was to scatter Gran's ashes as she had requested in the blue bell woods behind her cottage in Middleton. I have been to Middleton before but I certainly didn't remember as much as I thought I had. Auntie Kate was with us too - we had a very long walk around the woods, along the river, over bridges and stopped on the grass in front of the old hall (now apartments) and had a picnic. We then just spent the afternoon on the grass, chatting, racing with the boys, handstands etc. It was truly wonderful.
