We're engaged!

For our 10 year anniversary Adam whisked me away on a surprise trip to Venice. We first visited Venice for my 21st a mere 8 years ago and adored the place. He actually popped the question just before we left home but having the boys with us made it all the more special. Venice was then our trip together to celebrate!

On 07 October we spent the afternoon at St Mark's Square, drinking tea and beer and eating biscuits and crisps while listening to the live bands and soaking up the atmosphere.

This was the beautiful, quaint hotel we stayed in. I loved everything about it! When we came back in the evening the courtyard and stairs were lit with lanterns of candles.

This restaurant is where we had our 10 year anniversary meal, it was very posh and very expensive. It was called the Grand Canal restaurant and was on a veranda on the canal. The waiters were dressed in white suits and silver served our food. We had a vegetable risotto for starters and for mains I had duck and Adam had a fillet of beef - the food was incredible.

I think I'll propose this Venice get away as an annual anniversary thing..
